🌙 Summer night markets
During the summer months, several lively night markets are also held. They’re a lovely way to spend warm summer evenings, sampling local specialities and enjoying the music and a friendly atmosphere.
Thursday evening: Sarlat-la-Canéda – a friendly night market in the historic centre.
Friday evening: La Roque-Gageac – a charming night market on the banks of the Dordogne.
Saturday evening: in July and August, several villages organise local night markets and gourmet markets.
Our tip: go on an empty stomach! Many night markets feature gourmet markets where local producers showcase their specialities. Take a seat at a long table, sample a variety of regional dishes and enjoy a proper summer’s evening in the Périgord with family or friends.
Please note: the days, times and locations of markets and night markets may vary depending on the season and from one year to the next. If in doubt, check the up-to-date calendar with the relevant local council or the local tourist office.
